Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Lexium Industries Ltd for using PeopleInvite. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use PeopleInvite for a business, you agree on its behalf.

1. Who we are

PeopleInvite is a product of Lexium Industries Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria (RC 9161328), 59C I.C.E. Road, Benin City, Edo State 300102, Nigeria (“we”, “us”).

You can reach us at support@peopleinvite.com.

2. The service

PeopleInvite lets event hosts design personalised invitations, send them to their guests, collect RSVPs and sign-ups, and check guests in at the event. We may improve, change or retire features over time; if a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you in advance and you may ask for a refund under our Refund Policy.

PeopleInvite is a tool for hosts. We do not organise events, sell tickets or collect money from guests on your behalf, and we are not responsible for the events you run.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old, and give accurate information when you sign up.
  • Keep your password safe and turn on two-factor authentication where offered. You are responsible for activity in your account and workspace, including by teammates you invite.
  • Tell us straight away at the address above if you think your account has been used without permission.

4. Your guests and their data

You decide whom to invite and what to collect from them. You confirm that you have a lawful basis, such as an existing relationship or consent, to send invitations to the people on your guest list and to share their details with us for that purpose.

For guest data, you are the data controller and we act as your processor: we use it only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

To keep invitations out of spam folders for everyone, you agree not to use the service to:

  • send unsolicited bulk or marketing email, or email people who have not reasonably agreed to hear from you;
  • send anything unlawful, deceptive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or that infringes anyone’s rights;
  • impersonate anyone, or send phishing, malware or fraudulent content;
  • upload images or text you do not have the right to use;
  • probe, overload or interfere with the service, or get around sending limits or other safeguards.

We apply daily sending limits, and we may pause sending automatically if bounce or complaint rates become unhealthy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with notice where reasonable.

6. Plans and payments

  • Free use is limited as shown on our pricing page.
  • An event pass is a one-time payment that covers one event up to the guest limit of the pass.
  • Pro is a subscription billed monthly or yearly in advance. It renews automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Prices are shown before any applicable tax. Payments are processed by Paystack; we do not store your full card details.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we may pause paid features until it is paid.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of price changes to an active subscription.

7. Your content

Your designs, images, event details and guest lists remain yours. You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and display them only as needed to provide the service to you and your guests.

The PeopleInvite software, templates and brand belong to us. Templates may be used in your own invitations through the service.

8. Availability

We work hard to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Email delivery depends on recipients’ mail providers, which we do not control. Plan ahead for important events, and keep your own copy of your guest list.

9. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or the outcome of an event, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer where they apply.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. After closure, we delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify account owners by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will try to resolve any dispute informally first; if we cannot, the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
